Grease is the word!

Dan and I decided to get season tickets to the Broadway Series this year. First play was Grease with Taylor Hicks. It was GREAT! I had to refrain myself from singing along and doing all the hand motions to Grease Lighnin'!! It was a lot of fun and Dan and I enjoyed the night out alone.

And because I still am learning on Blogger, we have a picture of Mason in his Cub Scout uniform next to the Grease playbill.

When we got home we found out that Jack had given the babysitter, Ms. Jaq a hard time at bed time. We are going to have to work on that little Jack. He ran from Ms. Jaq at bedtime and screamed for an hour in his bed. I swear I am paying for Dan's childhood!

Now, take a good look at this ugly floor because hopefully it will be the last time you see it! We are in the final stages of re-doing our kitchen. Dan and our neighbor Sam are going to be working all weekend at putting our new floor in. I will post pictures of the new beautiful floor after we get our kitchen put back together.

I think the boys and I will make a visit to Dan's grandmother, Libby on Saturday on our way to McWane Center. She is home from a long stay at the hospital and we need things to do to keep out of the house and out of Dan's way.

Video

Well, obviously, I sill have a lot to learn in the blogging world. I cannot figure out what went wrong on downloading my video's to my blog. As I am sure you noticed, the video did not download on the last post. I will keep working on it and hope to have video back on the blog soon.

We had another packed weekend beginning on Friday.

Friday I went to a funeral for the husband of a good work friend of mine. He was 66 years old and died suddenly from a heart attack Tuesday night. AT the funeral on Friday, we learned that a dear friend that we worked with had just died a few hours prior to the funeral from a heart attack. He was 52 YEARS OLD!!! It was a very sad day. Monday we get to go to another funeral. Everyone out there, please, please, please make sure you get those physicals every year. I am sending Dan in for a complete physical including echocardiogram. There are two families missing their husbands, fathers, brothers, and sons right now and it breaks my heart!

Enough depressing things, on with the review of our weekend. Some great wise man decided it was a good idea to have the 3 year old soccer teams have their pictures at 7:15 Saturday morning! What a ding dong! So, being the dutiful and devoted mother that I am, I was up at 6:30 (on a Saturday!) to get myself ready, wake a very sleepy 3 year old, get us both dressed and ready to leave the house at 7:05. At 7:06 I got the phone call that the pictures had been cancelled due to impending rain. BUT that they would still be playing at 8:30 regardless of rain. I informed this "wise" person that MY 3 year old would NOT be playing at 8:30 if it was raining.
Then Dan was up with Mason so that he could play in his Flag Football game that is at 8:00 every Saturday morning. So much for sleeping in on Saturdays!! Mason did play in the rain because as his daddy says, you play football in any weather. You have to be tough to play football and that includes playing in the rain.

After all the sports, Dan had to go to work, so the boys and I raced home, made lunch, took naps (Jack) and were off to a birthday party on Lay Lake (45 minutes away). After the birthday party, back home to make dinner, get baths and off to bed. Exhausted!!

Sunday my sweet husband got up and made breakfast for all of us so that I could sleep in. We skipped church (bad, I know), made runs to Publix and Costco, raced home for lunch and naps and then off to ANOTHER birthday party. Got home from that birthday party at 7:00, made dinner, took baths and off to bed. Whew!

Now that the boys are in bed, I need to get things ready for school tomorrow.

Christmas Wish List

Just for fun the other night, I decided to ask the boys what they wanted for Christmas. Jack's answers were so amusing, I decided to get it on video. One thing he does not say in the video that he told me he wanted for Christmas was a bigger Pooter. Now, just so that you know, he calls our computer, a "pooter".

Here is Jack...

Can you tell that pink is Jack's favorite color? And no, Dan is not worried about it. Pink was also Mason's favorite color at that age, now it is green. Don't know why but boys gravitate towards pink.

And here is Mason's wish list...

I think it is cute that Mason asks for a Bunny.

Turtle or Gorilla?

We are in the process of deciding on Halloween costumes for the boys. Actually just for Jack. Should we go with the Turtle

Or the Gorilla? Notice the Gorilla bottom.

Mason's costume is going to be a surprise!

Oh, and by the way, update on the conduct colors for Jack...he was on RED again today! We were doing so well, it was dissapointing to pick him up and see red!!! He would not close his mouth during circle time...imagine that! It must run in the family. But in addition to the talking, he is hitting "friends" again. I guess no Waffle House this weekend. If he is on Green all week long, he gets to go to Waffle House with Daddy on Friday morning.

And we have pictures!

Below is a video of Mason's first Flag Football game where he scored two touch downs.

Also are pictures of our trip to Callaway Gardens with the Fox's and Wise's. We had such a good time and I think the kids really enjoyed it! We did so much from seeing the Hot Air Balloons at the Hot Air Balloon festival at Callaway Gardens to the butterfly house. We had 2 20 month olds, 3 3year olds and a 6 year old. Let me just say that the blender was going ALL weekend!

Newbie

Ok people, I am new to the blog world but wanted to share what is happening in our household with family and friends all over. So, work with me while I try to get the hang of this.

So, what is happening in our lives right now? Well, I guess the question would be what is NOT happening in our lives right now? Jack entered the world of soccer today. At least in theory, he has entered the world of soccer. Does it count if he will not go on the field without Mason or Daddy holding his hand? Picture it if you will...Jack running down the field WITH his Daddy holding his hand. I guess Dan has become on honorary member of the 4 and under Soccer team.

But Mason on the other hand has taken to flag football like he has taken to every other sport he plays, like a fish to water. He made two touchdowns this morning, one of which was an interception taken in for a touchdown. Go Mason!

Both boys got thier flu shots this morning too. Busy morning!

Wrapped up the day with pizza and a movie night.

All in all a good day.

Check back for pictures...once I figure out how to get pictures on here!
